Nigerian Influencer, Bodmas Kemepadei Declared Wanted Over Alleged Murder In Bayelsa State

The Bayelsa State Police Command has declared an alleged prime suspect, Bodmas Kemepadei, wanted in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Patrick Peresuodei in the Amassoma/Yenagoa area of Bayelsa State.

Peresuodei’s was killed in January 2026 after allegedly being tortured by security personnel and a local influencer and this sparked protests and widespread outrage. 

The incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement on Facebook. 

Peresuodei's death prompted a state government investigation and the arrest of several personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The State Commissioner of Police, Iyamah Edebor, disclosed in a statement on Sunday, February 22, 2026, that a warrant of arrest had been issued against the suspect by the High Court of Bayelsa State.

He said,

“Bodmas Prince Kemepadei (m) wanted by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, The Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State command

“The above-named person is hereby declared WANTED by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in an alleged case of Conspiracy and Murder of Patrick Peresuodei. Offence was committed at Amassoma / Yenagoa.

“A Warrant of Arrest has been issued against him by the High Court of Bayelsa State of Nigeria.

“Description: Tribe: Ijaw, Age: 36 Years, Face Shape: Round, Mouth: Small, Lips: Thin, Eye Colour: White, Complexion: Dark Colour, Chin: Round, Head: Small, Forehead: Low. Last Known Address: ICCH Centre, Tenacious Street, Ede-Epie, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.”

The spokesperson stated that anyone who sees him "should please arrest and hand him over to the nearest police station or report immediately to the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Police Command, State Headquarters, Yenagoa. Alternatively, please contact: 0803 358 0244.”
