Late Nigerian singer, Ifunanya Nwangene has been laid to rest in her hometown in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State following her tragic death.

Nwangene reportedly passed away after suffering a snakebite at her residence in Abuja, an incident that sparked widespread reactions and condolences across social media.

The late singer, described by admirers as super-talented, was remembered for her voice and passion for music. Her untimely passing has left many in shock, particularly fans who had followed her journey in the entertainment space.

Her burial marks the final farewell to a young talent whose life was cut short unexpectedly.

It was gathered that Ifunanya Nwangene died after being bitten by a snake on Saturday, 31st of January, 2026 which her death was confirmed in Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja. She was 26 years old. May her soul rest in the Perfect Paradise of God. Amen.

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson.
