2027: “I Will Resign If Tinubu Does Not Win” – Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo

Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo has pledged to step down from office if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu fails to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.

Okpebholo made this vow on Friday during an interview on African Independent Television (AIT).

He reeled out development projects in the state, saying that Edo people will appreciate Tinubu through the ballot come 2027.

“Edo people have not even thanked Tinubu. How they will thank him is through their votes.

“The various projects across the state are the things that will speak for Tinubu and he will win here. Bet me, if he doesn’t win, I will resign as governor.

“There’s no election here for him. I’m a politician, who under-studied Chief Aneni. My style of politics is not thuggery but grassroots,” he said.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
