Spain Defeats Argentina 1-0 To Win The 2026 FIFA World Cup

Spain have won the 2026 World Cup, following a 1-0 win over defending champions Argentina on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at New York New Jersey stadium.

This is La Roja’s second world title ever, after they won it first in 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Luis de la Fuente’s men were in complete control of the game from start to finish, as Argentina struggled to impose themselves.

But Spain had nothing to show for their dominance in the regular 90 minutes of play.

The first half of extra time also ended without goals, with Argentina going down to 10 men after Enzo Fernandez picked up a second booking.

However, in the opening minutes of the second half, which is 106 minutes, Ferran Torres slammed home a knockdown from Nico Williams and it proved to be the winner.

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
