At least ten coaches have lost their jobs after their teams’ elimination at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It was gathered that Croatia head coach, Zlatko Dalic, is the latest manager to step down from the role.

Dalic’s departure is coming after Croatia’s recent 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the World Cup Round of 32.

The Croatian Football Federation disclosed in a statement on Wednesday that the 59-year-old has decided to part ways with the team.

“Following nearly nine years, head coach Zlatko Dalic has decided to close his incredibly successful chapter with Croatia,” the statement partly read.

Dalic’s departure from the Croatia national team followed Roberto Martinez’s stepping down as Portugal coach on Monday.

The other eight coaches who lost their jobs after their teams’ elimination from the World Cup are Carlos Queiroz (Ghana), Julian Nagelsmann (Germany), Sebastian Beccacece (Ecuador), Ronald Koeman (Netherlands), Miroslav Koubek (Czechia), Steve Clarke (Scotland), Marcelo Bielsa (Uruguay) and Hong Myung-bo (South Korea).

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
