Abia State Governor, Alex Otti Releases ₦25 Million For Ngozi Nwosu’s Medical Treatment

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has released the sum of ₦25 million to support the medical treatment of veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu.

The payment was made directly to the hospital where the actress is receiving treatment, according to the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Dr Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as J. Martins.

In a post on his official X handle on Thursday, J. Martins said the payment was made on Wednesday after Governor Otti directed that the funds be transferred to the hospital.

“Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr, our pragmatic leader, fulfilled his promise by directing a ₦25 million payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, is receiving treatment,” he wrote.

He thanked the governor for coming to the actress’s aid, describing the gesture as an act of compassion.

“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart, sir. History will be kind to you,” he added.

Earlier this week, J. Martins announced that Governor Otti had approved financial support for Nwosu following public reports about her health challenges.

Nwosu is one of Nollywood’s veteran actresses, with a career spanning decades across film and television. She is widely recognised for her contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
