Niger, Mali And Burkina Faso Set To Expose Nigerian Politicians Aiding Bandits

African countries of Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso are set to reveal the names of senior Nigerian politicians alleged to be supporting bandit groups operating in Nigeria’s North-West. 
 
This is according to Intelligence agencies from the countries.
 
According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, officials of the security agencies disclosed that they are already in possession of the names of some politicians suspected of providing assistance to the criminal gangs. 
 
They added that some individuals involved in supplying arms to the bandits had been arrested and investigations were underway.
 
According to the agencies, the move forms part of ongoing regional efforts to dismantle cross-border criminal networks that fuel insecurity in West Africa. 
 
The development comes against the backdrop of growing collaboration between Sahelian states on security, especially in tackling armed groups and illicit arms trafficking across borders.

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson.
