Davido Becomes Voting Member Of Grammys Recording Academy

 


Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has been made a member of the Recording Academy ahead of the 2026 Grammys.
 
The singer will now participate in the decision-making process of the Grammy awards.
 
The Afrobeats star described his admission into the Recording Academy as “a gamechanger.”

“I have learned that voting empowers you to have a say in what is considered and voted on in each season,” he stated in a video broadcast.
 
He added that he is honoured the join the prestigious Recording Academy and looks forward to voting.
 
Davido earned his first three nominations at the 2024 Grammys but lost all the categories.
 
His fourth nomination came in the way of his collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay, ‘Sensational’, which was nominated for the Best African Music Performance at the 2025 Grammys but lost to Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje.’
