“I’ll Be Back Stronger” — Broda Shaggi Breaks Silence Months After Shooting Incident In Ogun State

Nigerian comedian and actor, Samuel Animashaun Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence months after he was reportedly shot while filming in Ogun State.

Broda Shaggi was reportedly injured in March while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge. He was initially taken to a hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos before being transferred to another facility in Ikeja.

Since the incident, the skit maker has largely stayed away from the public eye, leaving fans waiting for an update on his condition.

However, in a recent message shared on his WhatsApp channel, Broda Shaggi thanked his supporters for remaining loyal to him during his absence.

He acknowledged that he had not been able to connect with his fans as he would have liked, but said their continued support had helped him through what he described as a difficult period.

“To everyone who’s still here waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you,” he wrote.

Broda Shaggi said he was not yet ready to reveal everything about what he had been through, but assured his fans that he had not forgotten them.

“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now but I can’t. Not yet,” he said.

The comedian also hinted at a return to the spotlight, promising that he would come back stronger and ready to reconnect with his audience.

“I’m hoping that day comes soon. And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” he wrote.

Broda Shaggi ended the message by expressing his appreciation to those who continued to stand by him.

“Thank you for staying. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for still being here,” he added.

For now, the comedian has kept details of his experience private, but his message suggests that his return to the entertainment scene could be on the horizon.
