U.S. And Iran Meet In Pakistan For Peace Talks

The United States President, Donald Trump says the only reason Iranians are alive today is to negotiate, ahead of peace talks slated for Pakistan over the weekend.

Vice President J.D. Vance said he was looking forward to negotiations, and would work with Iran if they act in “good faith”, but warned that if they “try to play us” the U.S. won’t be receptive.

Iran’s parliament speaker said a ceasefire in Lebanon must happen before negotiations begin.

Earlier, a senior official told the newsmen that Lebanon would only take part in separate talks next week with Israel if a ceasefire was in place beforehand.

There has been confusion over whether the U.S. and Iran’s two-week ceasefire includes Lebanon.
