Omoyele Sowore Joins Protest For The Release Of Nnamdi Kanu In Aba

Human Rights activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has joined an ongoing protest in Aba, Abia State, calling for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

In a video circulating online, Sowore is seen in the midst of the other protesters.

A coalition of supporters of the convicted IPOB leader had recently indicated plan to stage a protest in Aba to demand his release.

The planned demonstration, organised under the banner of the Coalition of Lovers of Freedom, has been tagged a “One Million March”.

Recall that Kanu was convicted of terrorism charges by a court, which subsequently sentenced him to life imprisonment.
