Nigerian Comedian, Broda Shaggi Rushed To Hospital After Being Shot While Filming In Ogun State

Nigerian actor, content creator, comedian and influencer, Samuel Animashaun Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalized after sustaining a gunshot injury in Ogun State.

He was allegedly shot on Sunday while filming at the Sango Ota Bridge.

The details of the shooting remain sketchy as he was rushed to a private hospital in Alakuko area of Lagos State and was later referred to another hospital in Ikeja.

Abimbola Adebisi, the Lagos State police spokesperson, explained that the incident was reported by the hospital.

“The hospital reported to the command that a gunshot victim was brought to their facility, and we discovered it was Broda Shaggi when we visited the hospital.”

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
