Nigerian Singer, Asake Addresses His Rumoured Rift With Olamide
Afrobeats star, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake has affirmed that his respect and loyalty toward his former record label boss, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, remain unwavering.
The Lungu Boy crooner revealed this during an interview with Korty EO while dismissing rumors of a rift between them.
In December 2024, Asake removed YBNL from his Instagram bio and unfollowed Olamide, leading to speculation that the two artistes had parted ways.
He eventually pursued his career independently by launching his own record label, Giran Republic.
The exit sparked reactions across the music industry, with fans and observers wondering what could have gone wrong between the duo
Asake explained that his view of Olamide has stayed the same over time and will continue to remain steady.
He said: “Till the world ends, Baddo will always be Baddo. The way I saw Baddo yesterday is the same way I see him today, and that will be the same way I will see him tomorrow, even if I become the president of America or Zimbabwe.
"Baddo will always be Baddo.”
Recall that an entertainment lawyer, Yemisi Falaye, shared fresh details about why he parted ways with YBNL Nation.
According to Falaye, the fallout began during the early stages of Asake’s signing with the label.
She explained that Asake was so excited about finally getting signed that he rushed into the deal without proper legal review.
