“Why I Divorced My First Wife” – Pastor Chris Okafor

The Founder and General Overseer of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, widely known as the Grace Nation International or Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor, has spoken about the reason his first marriage ended.

The cleric, who has been facing public scrutiny in recent times, shared details about the collapse of his marriage and the circumstances that led to the divorce.

In an interview with the newsmen, Pastor Chris Okafor said the relationship ended after he discovered his wife with another man inside his home.

The discovery caused deep pain and disappointment for him and eventually led to the breakdown of the marriage.

He explained that although his mother pleaded with him to forgive his wife and move past the incident, he could not continue with the relationship because of what had happened.

The situation, he said, made it difficult for him to remain in the marriage.

The pastor also disclosed that the divorce was later handled legally and finalized in Lagos.

The case was concluded at a customary court in the state on September 18, 2014. The case was filed under suit number IKJCC0172014.

He said, “I divorced my first wife because I caught her with a man in my house and it was because of my mother that was saying, oh my son, forgive.”
