Tems Receives Spotify’s 1 Billion Plaque After Reaching New Milestone

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has earned 1 billion streams with her collaborative effort with Future and Drake.
 
The song, "Wait For U' has now surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform.
 
She now joins Wizkid, Rema, and Tyla as the Afrobeats artists with Spotify’s Billion plaque.
 
‘Wait For U’ gave Tems her first Grammy plaque after winning the Best Melodic Rap category in 2023.
 
The song also made Tems the first African artist to debut at number 1 on Billboard Hot 100 in 2022.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
