Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the late Nigerian federal lawmaker, has been buried.

The senator was laid to rest in his hometown in Umuanuka village, Otolo Nnewi in Anambra state on November 22.

The Senator passed away while in the UK on July 27. He was 52 years.

Until his death, he was the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

The businessman-turned-politician would have been 53 on September 3, 2024.

Dignitaries at the funeral included Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state, Peter Obi, Chris Ngige, Olisa Metuh, Senator Osita Izunaso and many others.

American stand-up comedian and TV host, Rickey Smiley revealed that his 19-year-old daughter, Aaryn, was shot three times during a road incident in Houston, Texas over the weekend. Speaking on his Rickey Smiley Morning Show" on Monday, July 6, an emotional Smiley said :  "I wasn’t even going to say anything about this. I’ve been dealing with this all morning, sitting up here with butterflies in my stomach trying to do the show. My youngest daughter was shot last night. She’s in the hospital right now… I'm just so angry." The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), says veteran actor, Zack Orji underwent two successful brain surgeries. The national President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, who revealed this, said he is in good health.   Football stars, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku have been fined for unsportsmanlike conduct after the pair clashed during January's Milan Derby at the San Siro. Ghanaian authorities have explained why they locked up some Nigerian-owned shops in the country amid an ongoing controversy about the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC) registration.   Recall LIB reported earlier that the requirement for GIPC registration is $1 million minimum foreign equity, while registration fee is 31,500 cedis.   Reacting to the controversy that has trailed the GIPC registration in an interview with Starr News, Boakye Boateng, the head of communications in the country’s trade ministry said it would be unfair for the Nigerian traders to complain of insensitivity.   He further alleged that the traders were pardoned for over a year following the intervention of President Nana Akufo-Addo.   Boateng said;    “It cannot be that we’ve been insensitive.
