BBNaija's Hermes Loses Mom

Ex BBNaija housemate, Hermes Iyele has announced the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs Isioma Phebian Iyele.

Taking to his Instagram page, he said that she died on Tuesday, November 5.

He stated that he lacks the strength, both mentally and financially to handle the situation, while calling for donations to support his family to give her a befitting funeral.

He wrote;

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I’d like to make public the passing of my beloved mum ISIOMA PHEBIAN IYELE on the 5th of November 2024. I’m doing this so I can properly start my grief and also because I currently lack the strength or capacity(mentally and finance wise) to handle this situation. Pls pray for my siblings and I. Pls support us in all the ways you can. 🙏🏾

I’m currently on a work trip and got the news in transit, I’m trying as much as I can to function in the regard of duty that has brought me here whilst trying to do my part of what needs to be done to see this tragedy through, so pls be patient with me as I won’t be able to respond to calls and texts for the time being. We will start the burial process as soon as I’m back.

Bobrisky Falls Ill In Police Custody, Rushed To Hospital

  Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly fallen ill while in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos. After spending the night in a police cell, Bobrisky was rushed to Falomo Police Hospital for medical attention. A source confirmed the development, stating that he was transferred from the FCID to the hospital for treatment. The source said,  “Bobrisky complained of ‘breast’ pain and was rushed to the Police Hospital in the Falomo area of Lagos around 2:00 p.m. in an ambulance with the plate number LND 339L. He wore a black gown, covered his face with a shawl, and lay down in the ambulance.” Bobrisky was taken into custody on Monday night by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) following his arrest at the Seme border in Lagos during an alleged attempt to leave the country.   The  Magistrates' Court in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, denied bail to prominent broadcast journalist Chinonso Uba, popularly known as Nonso Nkwa, and ordered him to be remanded at the Owerri Correctional Centre on Wednesday. Uba was arraigned before the Chief Magistrate, His Worship Adikaibe, on five counts preferred against him by N.S. Onwochie, Legal Prosecution Officer, Owerri, Imo State on behalf of the state police commissioner. The five counts include conspiracy, treason and arson. At Uba’s arraignment, the prosecuting counsel appeared for the Commissioner of Police/Imo State government while C.K. Mgbekonye Esq., E.T. Okolie Esq., F. N. Obisike Esq., O. F.   The government of Equatorial Guinea has dismissed Baltasar Ebang Engonga as Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) after a series of over 400 sex tapes involving him and multiple women surfaced online.   A  shooting spree in Awka, Anambra State capital on Thursday morning, has claimed several lives. One of the sources, a student, said the shooting happened in Ifite Awka, at approximately 9:15 a.m., leaving several people dead. Ifite Awka is dominated mostly by students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The source said the shooting may not be unconnected to cultism. Traditional Festival Turns Bloody In Anambra Community As Gunmen Attack And Kill Scores

  Tragedy  unfolded in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Sunday, as a violent attack by masked gunmen resulted in multiple fatalities during the Onwa Asaa festival, a traditional community celebration. The assailants, reportedly driving a black Lexus SUV, stormed an eatery in the community and opened fire indiscriminately, leaving several people dead. At the time of reporting, at least 10 people had lost their lives in the attack.
