Former Women Affairs Minister, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye Appears In Court To Represent 5-Year-Old Girl Who Was Allegedly Molested By Her Class Teacher

The former Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, appeared in Court to represent a 5-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually abused by her class teacher.

This comes a month after she was sacked by President Bola Tinubu.

Kennedy-Ohaneye was among four ministers removed from office in a major cabinet reshuffle last month.

In a post on X on Monday, November 25, 2024, the lawyer reiterated her commitment to fighting for a better society and eradicating all forms of abuse against vulnerable Nigerians, including children.  

“I remain committed to fighting for a better society. My passion for justice remains unwavering, and I will not tolerate any form of abuse, especially against vulnerable Nigerians, including children,” she wrote.

"Today, I represented a heart-wrenching case involving a 5-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her class teacher. This incident strengthens my resolve to combat such heinous crimes.

“To those who would dare perpetrate such atrocities, let this serve as a warning. I will pursue justice relentlessly in my capacity.”

  The  government in Equatorial Guinea has commenced a probe into hundreds of leaked pornographic videos allegedly involving high-ranking civil servant, Baltasar Engonga, having sex with various women, including wives of prominent officials in his office.   Ondo State Magistrate Court has remanded a 43-year-old clergyman, Paul Oyewole, for allegedly publishing his obituary on social media to evade the N3 million debt payment he owed one of his church members. Oyewole reportedly obtained the sum of N3m from Emmanuel Boyede, alleging that he would pay back the money within seven days. Police Prosecutor, Moremi Akao, told the court that the accused falsely published and posted his obituary on WhatsApp after sending a fake bank alert to his creditor.   The  jail cell of embattled Hip-hop mogul and record executive, Sean “Diddy” Combs' was allegedly raided by the Feds who took away “a bunch of privileged materials.” It was gathered that  Combs' lawyer claims investigators grabbed the disgraced music mogul's notes, which were meant for his legal team for an upcoming trial.
