Davido Joins Dangote As Refinery IPO Lights Up New York’s Times Square

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, joined the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, at New York’s Times Square on Tuesday to support the public offering campaign for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.

In a video shared on social media, it showed both figures standing in front of a giant digital display on the Nasdaq billboard bearing the message, “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World.”

The digital display forms part of a global promotional campaign for the refinery’s ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO), which opened on Monday, September 14, 2026, and its set to close on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The offer places 4.1 billion ordinary shares on the market at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares. If fully subscribed, the public offer is expected to raise about ₦2.15 trillion, thereby expanding participation among Nigerian and African retail and institutional investors.
