Charly Boy Celebrates His Daughter Adaeze’s Engagement To Female Partner

Nigerian singer, television presenter and socio-political activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has celebrated the engagement of his daughter, Adaeze, to her female partner.

Charly Boy shared a video from the engagement ceremony on his Instagram page on Thursday, referring to the couple as his “beautiful Princess and her Husband” while asking his followers to wish them well.

“My beautiful Princess and her Husband. Folks, wish dem well for me,” Charly Boy wrote.

Adaeze also took to Instagram to publicly announce the engagement, posting a photograph of herself with her partner alongside the caption, “WE’RE ENGAGED!”




She accompanied the announcement with the hashtag #mrsandmrs and expressed excitement about building a future with her partner.

“Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, growth, and making beautiful memories together. I can’t wait for everything God has in store for us. Forever sounds even sweeter with you,” she wrote.

The engagement posts have generated reactions across social media, with users sharing varying opinions on the development.

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
