[VIDEO] #FreeNnamdiKanuNow: Omoyele Sowore, Others Flee As Security Operatives Fire Shots And Tear Gas

 


Human Rights activist and organizer of the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest, Omoyele Sowore has escaped gunshots and tear gas at the protest grounds.

It was gathered that the security operatives, comprising police and military officers took over the protest grounds at about 7 AM Monday morning.

In a viral video, Sowore could be seen running for his life, alongside other protesters.

The protesters intended to march to Aso Rock Villa to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Nigeria Police Force had warned the organizers against staging any protest near the Villa.
