#FreeNnamdiKanuNow: “We Got Court Order Restricting Protest” – Police

The Nigeria Police Force has said that it obtained a specific court order regarding the protest demanding the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known on Monday while responding to questions during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

Hundeyin was speaking about the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest, which took place in the nation’s capital on Monday, October 20, 2025.

“We got a court order specifically about this protest, restricting protest from certain areas like the Aso Villa, the Supreme Court, the National Assembly, Eagle Square and Force Headquarters on the Shehu Shagari Way.

“The court order said the protesters are restricted from those areas mentioned,” he said.

It was gathered that the protests began in the morning, with Human Rights activist, Omoyele Sowore at the forefront.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
