#FreeNnamdiKanuNow Protest Continues, We’ll Restrategize – IPOB Lawyer Blasts Tinubu

Maxwell Opara with IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu
A member of the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Maxwell Opara, has declared that the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest will continue despite the police invasion.
Opara said they would proceed to the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to continue the protest and restrategize.
Human Rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, Prince Kanu, and Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, had started the protest to demand the release of the IPOB leader.
While the police had blocked the protesters from gaining access to the Presidential Villa, they also dispersed the demonstrators.
Aggrieved, Opara accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of trying to stifle freedom of expression, noting that the president himself was a product of protest.
According to Opara: “Tinubu is a product of protest. He was able to get to that place because of the protest, protesting against Goodluck Jonathan.
“And I think that if Jonathan had refused to hand over power to President Muhammadu Buhari, he wouldn’t be there now.
“Of course, we are proceeding with the protest. We are moving to Gwagwalada now. We are going to continue. So it’s a whole day’s protest.”
