“Why I Turned Down Manchester United Job” – Jürgen Klopp

Former Liverpool manager, Jürgen Norbert Klopp, has claimed that he snubbed the chance to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Klopp revealed this while speaking on Steve Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast on Monday.

The German left Anfield in the summer of 2024 after nine years at the club.

United had approached him in 2013 while he was still at Borussia Dortmund.

“United tried (to approach me). It was wrong time, wrong moment,” Klopp said.

“I had a contract at Dortmund and wouldn’t have left for anybody. They wanted a new manager and I was one of a few options I think.”

When asked if he turned Manchester United down rather than the other was around, Klopp replied “yes”.

He then added: “There were some things in the conversations that I didn’t like.

The idea was that big — “We get all the players we want, we get him, we get him” — and I was sitting there thinking this is not my project. It was the wrong time but on top of that it was not my project.”

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
