BBNaija Officially Announces Date For Season 9 Edition

The Big Brother Naija reality show has finally announced the date to kick off its Season 9 edition.

The show organisers made the announcement on their official Instagram page on Friday night.

According to the graphics posted, the show which will last for 71 days, will kick off on July 28, 2024.

According to the organisers, the 2024 Season 9 edition will be ‘Two Journeys in One House’.

“BBNaija Season 9 is HERE! This is a must follow Season! Get ready for double the drama, ships, and HUGE competition! Cameras 24/7 for 71 days. Don’t miss the premiere on July 28th at 7 PM WAT.”

It was also gathered that the organizers had earlier disclosed that the show will hold in July.

  A  new experimental brain implantation device, Blindsight, designed to restore vision has been awarded the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) ‘breakthrough device’ designation. The device was created by Elon Musk’s brain chip company, Neuralink, which specialises in developing a brain-chip interface that can be implanted within the skull. Blindsight is designed to allow individuals who have lost both eyes and optic nerves to regain sight. A  federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi on Friday morning.   A Nigerian nurse, identified as Ruth Auta has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing the death of her ten-week-old baby. The nurse was sentenced by Bolton Crown Court in the UK. It was gathered that the Nigerian woman left the deceased baby Joshua Akerele in her nurse's accommodation for eight hours so she could work her shift on December 20, 2022. The nurse was said to be a single mother, aged 28. When she returned to her room, she found Joshua lifeless in his cot and dialled 999, telling operators her son was not breathing. Akerele was later confirmed dead an hour later with tests showing he may have 'overheated' due to the layers of clothing and bedding he was wrapped in.   Just few hours to the Imo State Local Government elections, the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has called on members of the public to display civility by shunning acts capable of disrupting the electoral process during and after the exercise.
