Protester Arrested For Allegedly Throwing Egg At King Charles III During Walkabout In English Town

A man in his 20s has been reportedly arrested for throwing an egg at King Charles III, during a walkabout by the King in Luton town centre, England.

King Charles had an egg hurled at him for the second time which comes exactly a month after the monarch was targeted in a similar stunt in York.

It was gathered that bodyguards quickly intervened to move the monarch away from the scene of the disturbance on St George's Square.

Bedfordshire Police said an egg is believed to have been thrown in the direction of the monarch while he was meeting members of the public during his day of engagements in Luton.

Charles was temporarily directed away from crows by his security staff following the incident.

The King met with members of The Ghana Society, the Royal British Legion and the Luton Town football academy and the Luton Sikh Soup Kitchen during his visit.

He also officially opened the Guru Nanak Gurdwara temple.

Charles was also pictured trying the Luton Dart carriage at Luton airport to learn about the new cable-drawn mass passenger transit system which will connect Luton Airport Parkway rail station to the airport.

In November, a man was detained by the British police for allegedly throwing eggs at King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, as they walked in the northern England city of York.

According to video footage, several eggs were seen in motion and smashed on the ground; none appeared to hit the royal couple.

The incident happened as the monarch and his wife were entering York through Micklegate Bar, a medieval gateway where monarchs are traditionally welcomed to the city.

Britain’s PA news agency reported that the man shouted “this country was built on the blood of slaves” as several police officers could be seen grappling with the man at a crowd barrier as he was being detained.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has confirmed his upcoming wedding to his partner, Chioma Rowland. Immigration Officer Bags 7-Year Jail Term Over Passport Fraud

  The  Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has secured the conviction of Quadri Ismail Adeyinka, a staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service for committing travel passport fraud. ICPC  arraigned the convict before Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Apo, Abuja, on a four-count charge bordering on gratification, conferment of corrupt advantage and cheating contrary to extant provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 and the Penal Code Act. Counsel to ICPC, Dr Osuobeni Ekoi Akponimisingha, in the course of the trial, led evidence before the court on how Adeyinka defrauded Ovie Justice Ojeffia under the pretence of regularising the latter’s international passport. Adeyinka,  after receiving the sum of N100,000 from Ojeffia to regularise the said passport, reneged on their agreement. Veteran Nollywood Actress, Stella Ikwuegbu Is Dead

Nollywood has been plunged into mourning as veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu passed away on Sunday.  A cloud of sorrow has therefore enveloped the Nigerian film industry as fellow actors, filmmakers, and fans grapple with the devastating news and reflect on Ikwuegbu’s immense contributions to Nollywood over the years. Movie producer Stanley Nwoko, also known as Stanley Ontop, announced on his Instagram page that the veteran actress has passed away.  According to his post, she died on Sunday, June 16, 2024.  He said, “Popular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs stella ikwuegbu is dead. “The veteran Actress left this world today after battling with Leg cancer.
