Comedian Peteru Dies At 35 Of Colon Cancer Six Weeks After Father’s Burial

Nigerian comedian and On-Air personality Oluwatobi Owomoyela, popular as Peteru who passed on in the early hours of Thursday, December 22 has been confirmed to have died from colon cancer complications as opposed to the story of lung cancer, accident, and suicide being peddled by some bloggers.

The beloved comedian, 35, who buried his father barely six weeks ago, according to a source close to the family was billed to remarry in the early days of 2023.

Peteru, a household name in comedy circles due to his unique mimicry was until his demise, one of the fastest-rising comedians who had made a name in the South- West of Nigeria, having worked with the foremost Nigerian entertainers. He was also an MC, a brand influencer and an On-Air Personality in Ibadan, Oyo State.

He is survived by his mother, siblings, and son.

Since the news broke on social media, messages and posts eulogizing the late comedian have poured in from entertainers and fans alike.

In a statement issued by the Owomoyela family announcing his death, Peteru’s family asked to be allowed to grieve and mourn the huge loss.

Bobrisky Falls Ill In Police Custody, Rushed To Hospital

  Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly fallen ill while in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos. After spending the night in a police cell, Bobrisky was rushed to Falomo Police Hospital for medical attention. A source confirmed the development, stating that he was transferred from the FCID to the hospital for treatment. The source said,  “Bobrisky complained of ‘breast’ pain and was rushed to the Police Hospital in the Falomo area of Lagos around 2:00 p.m. in an ambulance with the plate number LND 339L.   The  Magistrates' Court in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, denied bail to prominent broadcast journalist Chinonso Uba, popularly known as Nonso Nkwa, and ordered him to be remanded at the Owerri Correctional Centre on Wednesday.   The government of Equatorial Guinea has dismissed Baltasar Ebang Engonga as Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) after a series of over 400 sex tapes involving him and multiple women surfaced online. Lifeless Body Of Young Woman Found Dumped By Roadside In Delta After Visit To Man She Met On A Dating Site

  A  young Nigerian woman who has been identified as Precious Yusuf has been found dead in Asaba, in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State. The body of the deceased was found by the roadside opposite Falcon Club, Asaba. Her waist region was covered with a black and white cloth, suggestive of alleged mutilation of her private part for ritual purposes.
