Liverpool Completes Shock Move For Gakpo As Player Snubs Manchester United

Liverpool have reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven to sign Cody Gakpo.

The transfer fee is believed to be between £35m and £45m.

“PSV and LFC have reached an agreement on the proposed transfer of Cody Gakpo.

“The 23-year-old attacker will leave for England imminently where he will be subjected to the necessary formalities ahead of the completion of the transfer,” a PSV statement on Monday said.

Gakpo’s stock increased at the just concluded World Cup with three goals in five appearances.

Manchester United had shown interest in the Dutchman in the summer before turning their attention to sign Antony from Ajax.

However, Liverpool have nipped in to complete a deal, following long-term injuries to Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has told the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to stay calm and steadfast as he continues efforts to secure his release. It was gathered that the governor visited the IPOB leader at the Sokoto Correctional Centre on Sunday, November 30, 2025. This was disclosed on Sunday night in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma. Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone.
