Belgium Star, Eden Hazard Quits International Football

Belgium star Eden Hazard announced his retirement from international football on Wednesday, days after the team crashed out of the World Cup in the group stage.

The Real Madrid forward, 31, made the announcement on social media, saying “a page turns today”.

“Thank you for your unparalleled support,” he posted on Instagram.

“Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my international career.

“The succession is ready. I will miss you.”

Hazard was the standard-bearer of Belgium’s much-vaunted “golden generation”, which reached the semi-finals at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The ageing team failed to make it past the first round in Qatar, finishing third in Group F behind Morocco and Croatia.

American stand-up comedian and TV host, Rickey Smiley revealed that his 19-year-old daughter, Aaryn, was shot three times during a road incident in Houston, Texas over the weekend. Speaking on his Rickey Smiley Morning Show" on Monday, July 6, an emotional Smiley said :  "I wasn’t even going to say anything about this. I’ve been dealing with this all morning, sitting up here with butterflies in my stomach trying to do the show. My youngest daughter was shot last night.   The  47th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump on Monday, January 20, signed an executive order vowing to end birthright citizenship in the U.S., despite a broad legal consensus that the Constitution guarantees American citizenship to everyone born on U.S. soil. Trump’s order directs federal agencies to refuse to recognize U.S. citizenship for children born in the U.S. to mothers who are in the country illegally or there legally on visas, if the father is not a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. The order would deny U.S. citizenship, including passports, to those children born in the U.S. starting 30 days from now, if at least one parent isn’t an American citizen or green card holder. A 30-year-old woman, Deveca Rose has been handed a 10-year jail term after her four sons died in a house fire after she locked them inside to go shopping at Sainsbury’s. Rose left her two sets of twins alone in the unsafe terraced house in Sutton, south-west London when the huge blaze broke out on the evening of December 16, 2021. Leyton and Logan Hoath, aged three, and four-year-olds Kyson and Bryson Hoath screamed out for help, and a neighbour desperately tried to break down the front door. Chinedu Nwowu, an Imo State-based lawyer, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Mgbidi, the Oru West Local Government Area of the state.
