Manchester United To Pay €50million For Ronaldo’s Replacement

Manchester United are planning a €50million offer for PSV Eindhoven forward, Cody Gakpo, in the January transfer window.

It is understood Gakpo is manager, Erik ten Hag’s top target.

Ten Hag is looking to beef up his attack following the termination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract last month.

It leaves Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford as the only senior players capable of leading the line.

According to The Telegraph, United are ready to make a formal offer for Gakpo and see him as the ideal replacement for Ronaldo.

United have long-standing interest in the Netherlands international and discussed a move in the summer.

However, they eventually decided to buy Brazilian winger Antony from Ajax for £87.1million.
