“BBNaija Relationships Are Biggest Scam” - Mercy Eke

Former Big Brother Naija reality TV winner, Mercy Eke has disclosed that the romantic relationships on the show are a scam and a strategy.

The first female winner stated this during an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, while explaining why she was stuck in a relationship with her ex, Ike Onyema.

Remember that Mercy and Ike were a couple on the show, but their relationship did not last beyond the show, disappointing many followers.

Regarding her experience, Mercy noted that if she had known her fanbase was so large, she wouldn’t have pursued a relationship with Ike.

Even when their relationship was not working, the reality TV star said she could not leave Ike because of the money.

“BBNaija relationships are biggest scam. It was original for me initially. As a matter of fact, if I had known that I was a strong housemate and that people loved me for me, I wouldn’t have bothered getting involved with Ike.

“I would not say it was a strategy, for me, we flowed with it, but we had to put up a show even when not happy for people who are not even in relationship. If it is not working out, you move but in my case I could not, I had to be there because of money, otherwise, I won’t have the money”.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has confirmed his upcoming wedding to his partner, Chioma Rowland. According to reports on Tuesday Chioma and Davido’s traditional wedding is reportedly scheduled to take place in Lagos on June 25, 2024. Confirming the news in a video shared by his long time associate, UK-based Nigerian Pastor Tobi Adeboyega on Instagram on Tuesday, the excited groom to be invited his friends to join in the celebration. EFCC Arrests 14 Suspected Vote-Buyers, Intercepts N11 Million Cash In Imo And Bayelsa States

  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested fourteen suspected vote-buyers and intercepted N11m cash in the off-cycle governorship elections.  “ Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 14 (Fourteen) suspected vote buyers in Otueke, Adawari playgrounds in Bayelsa State and at various polling units in Imo and Kogi States,” the anti-corruption agency said in a late Saturday statement. “ They were arrested on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in intelligence-driven operations that commenced several days before the ongoing governorship elections in the three states.” It  also intercepted N11m cash in Bayelsa and Imo states. “Also, a total sum of N11,040,000 (Eleven Million, Forty Thousand Naira only) comprising N9,310,000 (Nine Million, Three Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira) intercepted from suspected vote buyers and sellers in Bayelsa and N1,730,000 (One Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira) intercepted fro

  Nollywood actress, Ramota Adetu, better known as Aunty Ramota, has debunked rumours that she was in a coma following an unsuccessful Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. Immigration Officer Bags 7-Year Jail Term Over Passport Fraud

  The  Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has secured the conviction of Quadri Ismail Adeyinka, a staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service for committing travel passport fraud. ICPC  arraigned the convict before Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Apo, Abuja, on a four-count charge bordering on gratification, conferment of corrupt advantage and cheating contrary to extant provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 and the Penal Code Act. Counsel to ICPC, Dr Osuobeni Ekoi Akponimisingha, in the course of the trial, led evidence before the court on how Adeyinka defrauded Ovie Justice Ojeffia under the pretence of regularising the latter’s international passport. Adeyinka,  after receiving the sum of N100,000 from Ojeffia to regularise the said passport, reneged on their agreement. Veteran Nollywood Actress, Stella Ikwuegbu Is Dead

Nollywood has been plunged into mourning as veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu passed away on Sunday.  A cloud of sorrow has therefore enveloped the Nigerian film industry as fellow actors, filmmakers, and fans grapple with the devastating news and reflect on Ikwuegbu’s immense contributions to Nollywood over the years. Movie producer Stanley Nwoko, also known as Stanley Ontop, announced on his Instagram page that the veteran actress has passed away.  According to his post, she died on Sunday, June 16, 2024.  He said, “Popular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs stella ikwuegbu is dead. “The veteran Actress left this world today after battling with Leg cancer.
