Portable Welcomes Baby Boy Hours After Boxing Defeat, Calls It A ‘Blessing’

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has found joy amid recent disappointment, celebrating the birth of his third child just hours after losing a celebrity boxing match.

The singer’s wife announced the birth of their baby boy, Temilorun, earlier in the day, sparking a wave of excitement within the family.

On his Instagram platform, Portable shared photos of himself and the newborn, disclosing the baby’s full name as Fijabi Tekunbi Oriyomi. Reflecting on recent events, the singer described the moment as a reminder that “Any disappointment is a blessing.”

His post read: “Star boy Fijabi Tekunbi Oriyomi, Son of Grace Omo Lishabi. Any disappointment is a blessing. Congratulations to my family and me. God bless you, Omobewaji Dashobomi Omoleye. I really appreciate you in my life,” he noted.

The birth comes shortly after Portable’s loss to content creator and streamer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, who defeated him to emerge the new celebrity boxing champion in Lagos. 

Following his victory, Carter Efe reportedly received a ₦50 million cash reward from Nigerian businessman and socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, alongside other perks.

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson.
