Enzo Maresca Agrees Manchester City Deal To Replace Pep Guardiola
Enzo Maresca is set to take over at Manchester City after reaching a verbal agreement to replace Pep Guardiola.
It was gathered that the Italian coach has agreed to the move, with a three-year deal set to be signed once final details are completed.
Guardiola is expected to leave the club after a highly successful spell that brought multiple Premier League titles and Champions League success.
Enzo Maresca has a total verbal agreement with Manchester City.
The Italian manager has always been considered the ideal candidate to replace Pep Guardiola.
Deal in place and Maresca will sign an initial three year deal at MCFC.
Maresca is already familiar with City, having previously worked under Guardiola before moving into management.
He has built his coaching career with spells at Leicester City and Chelsea in the Premier League. He also had a stint with SL Benfica, where he went unbeaten across 34 games, winning 23 and drawing 11.
The move is seen as part of City’s effort to maintain continuity in style as they prepare for a managerial transition.
