Police Release Omoyele Sowore After 48 Hours In Detention

 


The police have released prominent human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore was released at about 8 PM on Friday evening.

This came a few hours after Sowore, during his interview with the newsmen in detention, accused the police of denying him access to a doctor over his broken hand.

Announcing his freedom during a Facebook live session, Sowore said: “Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is me here. I have just been released by the police.

“You know we told them that they can’t sustain this but them no dey hear word. I have just been released from detention after 48 hours by the illegal IGP and his people”.

Sowore was detained on Wednesday after honoring police invite.
