Popular Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson has denied media reports claiming she filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the airline.

This comes in the wake of the August 5th incident in which she was forcibly removed from one of their aircraft following a confrontation with an air hostess.

A report surfaced online today claiming that Comfort had dragged the airline to court, demanding ₦500 billion in damages.

However, she took to her Instagram Stories to dismiss this claim. She also hinted that she plans to take legal action against the airline in the future.

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson. Maryam Sanda, sentenced to death in 2020 for the killing of her husband, Bilyaminu Bello, has received a presidential pardon from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after spending six years and eight months at the Suleja Medium Security Custodial Centre. In a statement released on Saturday by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency said,  “Her family pleaded for her release, arguing that it was in the best interest of her two children.
