Bayer Leverkusen Appoints Ten Hag As Alonso’s Replacement

 

 
Erik ten Hag has been appointed as manager of German club, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
 
The announcement was made on Monday.
 
Ten Hag signed a contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until June 2027.

“Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!” the club posted in an official statement on Monday via X, welcoming Ten Hag, confirming the deal.
 
The 54-year-old tactician replaces Xabi Alonso, who previously led Leverkusen to domestic success.
 
Ten Hag was widely considered the main candidate for the role following Alonso’s departure.
 
The club confirmed that the deal is a two-year agreement, running through to the end of the 2026/27 season.
