Nigerian lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has given an update on the arrest of the social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

In a post shared on his X handle, Adeyanju disclosed that VDM is currently being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He mentioned that his lawyers have located where VDM is being held but also stated that the activist has refused to see anyone.

‘’VDM DETAINED AT EFCC: Our lawyers led by the Head of our firm @Marvin_Omorogbe just met VDM’s friend who was arrested together with him in EFCC custody.

“VDM refused to come out of the cell; that he won’t see anyone. VDM was locked inside the GTB exit door for over 5mins to enable EFCC arrest him and his friend.

“We will be taking legal actions against GTB for the inhumane treatment meted out to our client. We will issue a public statement soon.”

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
