[FULL LIST] 2025 AMVCA Winners
The 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) was held on Saturday 10th of May, 2025 at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos and the biggest and brightest Africans in entertainment were celebrated for their performance.
This year, many categories presented strong competition, with legends of the industry and rookie actors nominated for the same awards.
The star-studded night, hosted by IK Osakioduwa, celebrated excellence in African film and television, honouring achievements across 28 categories, including the newly introduced Best Music Score. Therefore, making it 29 in total.
In the Best Actress category, Chioma Akpotha won for her performance in Seven Doors. Femi Adebayo also won the Best Actor category for Seven Doors. Best Director went to Awam Amkpa, for his Wole Soyinka biopic The Man Died. Freedom Way won Best Movie.
