Late BBNaija Star, Rico Swavey To Be Buried On Thursday October 20

The family of late Big Brother Naija star, Rico Swavey, has announced the arrangements for his burial.

Born Patrick Adebowale Fakoya, Rico was involved in a car crash which led to him being placed on life support. He died two days after the accident on Thursday October 13, 2022.

In a statement signed by his family and management team, plans for his funeral were shared via Twitter on Tuesday.

“With a heavy heart, we invite all friends and fans of Rico Swavey to his tribute night/candle light walk tomorrow as we witness a star supernova. Thank you all,” the caption read.

A night of tribute and candlelight walk will take place at Retro Citi, Victoria Island, Lagos, on today.

This will be followed by a private service at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Square, on Thursday October 20, 2022.

His funeral service will immediately follow at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi, where the deceased will be laid to rest.

It was gathered that the customers of Moniepoint and Opay will start paying the charges from September 9, 2024, according to a recent notice by the banks. The new levy is in addition to the recent Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) pump price hike to N855 and N897 by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets. The  development means Nigerians using Opay and Moniepoint will have to pay N50 charges for any electronic transactions of N10,000 and above. The Fintech companies blamed the charges on a directive from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).   The  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has assured investors of the safety of Alaigbo, noting that South-east region is big and safe to accommodate their investments. Disclosing  this in a statement on Tuesday, Emma Powerful, the groups spokesman, advised Igbo businessmen and women to bring back their investments before they regret it. Of  recent, Igbos in Lagos and other states complain of governments policies and host communities’ attitudes that affect their respective businesses. These Igbos have been assured by the various governments of the safety of their businesses in their states.   The  Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced one Courage Ikpaka to two years imprisonment for duping a United States citizen, Mrs Yvelte M. Thompson of $53,000 by impersonating Nigerian musician, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania. Justice   Dehinde Dipeolu convicted Ikpaka on Tuesday following his guilty plea to a two-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Prosecution counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, led EFCC investigator Azibagiri Dan Ekpar in evidence against the defendant. The witness told the court that Ikpaka impersonated Flavour by pledging to organise shows in the United States of America and receiving payment through his Bitcoin wallets. Award-winning cinematographer and music producer, ThankGod Omori popularly known as TG Omori, has revealed that he had a failed kidney transplant after his brother donated to him to improve his kidney-related ailment. Nollywood  actress, Sharon Okpamen, has reportedly passed on after childbirth. The Nollywood community has been thrown into mourning since the news of her demise broke out on the internet.
