“Resolution Is Ongoing” – Nollywood Actress, Doris Ogala Gives Update On Face-Off With Pastor Chris Okafor

Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala has given an update on the controversy surrounding her and the Founder and General Overseer of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, widely known as the Grace Nation International or Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor.

The actress was arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday, December 20, 2025, following allegations she made against the clergyman over an unfulfilled marriage promise.

Doris Ogala regained her freedom on Monday afternoon after spending two nights in police custody. Reports indicate that during this period, Pastor Okafor allegedly appealed to her to embrace a peaceful settlement.

Providing an update on the situation, the actress disclosed that discussions aimed at resolving the dispute are currently underway. She also confirmed that she remains in Lagos as the talks continue.

She said;

“Talks is going on now, resolution is ongoing at the moment. I’m still in Lagos, I’m not back in Abuja. I want to know where it’s heading, and I want to know the end of this table talk. I will come back, and I will seek God’s face. I will ask God the next direction, what should I do because at the moment, I don’t know what to do. I will ask for his wisdom, what should I do, because I have a lot to say, I have a lot I want to reveal, I have a lot I want the world to learn from this.

“At the same time, I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hand. This is still bad than anyone thinks. I haven’t said anything. What I just said online is nothing to what I’m about to say before my arrest. But I will leave everything to God and pray and seek his direction to let him direct me on how best to go about it. I’m not afraid of anyone, I’m not afraid of going to jail. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak.”
