Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to the release of actor, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha. He did so by posting a lengthy message on Instagram in which he celebrated the actor’s freedom and declared he is “back and better.”

Fabiyi stated that he is happy the court cleared Baba Ijesha on certain charges, insisting that the original case involving a minor was, in his words, “a charade.”

He went on to make several allegations about how the case was handled, claiming that those who initially set up the sting operation gave misleading information about the girl’s age.

He also accused some individuals connected to the case of wrongdoing, stressing that these were his personal claims and not established facts in court.

Fabiyi further alleged that the girl involved in the matter experienced negligence during the process of gathering evidence. He also accused comedian Princess — who was central to the case — of contributing to emotional harm, insisting again that these were his own views and not judicial findings.

The actor repeated that his organisation does not support abuse of any kind and said his advocacy has always been focused on demanding fair investigation, due process, and consistent application of the law.

Fabiyi ended his post by insisting that he would continue to campaign against what he described as “selective justice.”
