2026 WORLD CUP QUALIFERS PLAYOFFS: CAF Confirms Wilfred Ndidi Eligible To Face DRC

 


The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi is eligible to feature for the Super Eagles in 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs final with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah, Rabat, Morocco.

The information was shared on the Super Eagles official X account on Saturday.

“CAF has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi is eligible to feature for the Super Eagles in Sunday’s playoff clash against DR Congo,” reads the message.

Cautions accumulated during the World Cup qualifiers do not carry over into the playoffs; only confirmed suspensions apply.”

Ndidi was cautioned in the sixth minute of Super Eagles’ 4-1 victory over the Panthers of Gabon on Thursday.

It was the midfielder’s second booking in the qualifiers.
