Paystack Fires Co-Founder, Ezra Olubi Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct Scandal
Nigerian fintech firm, Paystack has dismissed its co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Ezra Olubi, following allegations of sexual misconduct.
Olubi announced this in his personal blog at the weekend.
He claimed the decision to sack him from the company he co -founded, came even before the firm concluded its ‘independent investigation’.
He noted that his legal team is reviewing the process that led to the termination.
“On Saturday, 22 November 2025, I was informed that my employment had been terminated.
“My legal team is now reviewing the process that led to my purported termination, including its consistency with internal policies. They will take the steps they consider appropriate, and I will not be commenting further on this matter at this time,” he wrote.
Recall that Paystack had earlier suspended Olubi over allegations of sexual misconduct against a colleague.
The controversy surrounding Olubi’s sexual allegations began in mid-November 2025 when a social media post alleging abusive behaviour by Olubi went viral and prompted users to resurface a series of explicit tweets from earlier in his career.
