“Suspect Arrested For Injecting Mohbad Is Not A Registered Nurse” – Lagos NANNM

The Lagos State National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives has revealed that the suspect arrested for injecting the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad is not a registered nurse.

Recall that Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba had in one of his viral interviews stated that his son Mohbad died after receiving an injection from an auxiliary nurse on Tuesday September 12, 2023.

The association made the revelation in a statement issued on its official X on Saturday, by the State Secretary, Toba Odumosu.

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Lagos State Council, expresses its deepest condolences to the associates and family of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as we mourn his tragic passing.

“We fully support the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and urge the relevant authorities to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice for him.

“However, we must stress the importance of professionalism in reporting and conducting this investigation. NANNM is closely monitoring the situation with keen interest. Our preliminary investigations indicate that the individual reportedly taken into custody by the police for providing care to Mohbad is not a registered Nurse.

“We emphasize the critical need to verify the qualifications and professional status of individuals before labelling them as healthcare professionals.”

A  federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi on Friday morning.   The  Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced one Courage Ikpaka to two years imprisonment for duping a United States citizen, Mrs Yvelte M. Thompson of $53,000 by impersonating Nigerian musician, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania. Justice   Dehinde Dipeolu convicted Ikpaka on Tuesday following his guilty plea to a two-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Nigerian Nurse Who Left Her Infant To Die While On Duty Caught At Airport Trying To Flee UK, Jailed For Three Years

  A Nigerian nurse, identified as Ruth Auta has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing the death of her ten-week-old baby. The nurse was sentenced by Bolton Crown Court in the UK. It was gathered that the Nigerian woman left the deceased baby Joshua Akerele in her nurse's accommodation for eight hours so she could work her shift on December 20, 2022. The nurse was said to be a single mother, aged 28. When she returned to her room, she found Joshua lifeless in his cot and dialled 999, telling operators her son was not breathing.
