Angolan Mother On Deathbed Says 12 Year-Old Son Is Offspring Of Human-Chimpanzee Love Affair

The story made national headlines and has unleashed an outpour of generosity towards Augusto Dembo, 12, who now lives with his uncle and aunt in the capital city of Luanda.Although the young boy has become an instant celebrity, many experts dispute the claim that he is the product of the sexual intercourse between a human and a chimpanzee.
A spokesperson from the Parc national de Cameia commented the news by saying that they sincerely regret the loss of Anita Dembo but also condoned “any inappropriate or sexual acts with any animals in the park.” “Any sexual interaction between employees or visitors of the park with animals is not encouraged behavior under current park guidelines,” a spokesman for Parc national de Cameia told reporters.
The child’s mother, Anita Dembo, allegedly entertained an affair with a chimpanzee that endured for many years during her employment at the Parc national de Cameia where she has worked as a conservation officer since 1998.

Nigerians Face New Financial Strain As Moniepoint, Opay And Others Impose N50 Electronic Money Transfer Levy

  There are more burdens on Nigerians as Moniepoint, Opay and other Fintech banks and financial services have imposed fresh N50 charges known as Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), on customers. It was gathered that the customers of Moniepoint and Opay will start paying the charges from September 9, 2024, according to a recent notice by the banks. The new levy is in addition to the recent Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) pump price hike to N855 and N897 by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets. The  development means Nigerians using Opay and Moniepoint will have to pay N50 charges for any electronic transactions of N10,000 and above. The Fintech companies blamed the charges on a directive from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).   The  Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced one Courage Ikpaka to two years imprisonment for duping a United States citizen, Mrs Yvelte M. Thompson of $53,000 by impersonating Nigerian musician, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania. Justice   Dehinde Dipeolu convicted Ikpaka on Tuesday following his guilty plea to a two-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Prosecution counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, led EFCC investigator Azibagiri Dan Ekpar in evidence against the defendant.   A Nigerian nurse, identified as Ruth Auta has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing the death of her ten-week-old baby. The nurse was sentenced by Bolton Crown Court in the UK.
