Diddy’s Top Lawyer Steps Down From The Case Ahead Of Trial

Embattled American hip-hop mogul, Sean Combs popularly known as Diddy has lost his top lawyer ahead of his sex trafficking trial.
 
Anthony Ricco has now stepped down from the case.
 
Recall that Diddy who is currently facing over 30 civil lawsuits, is awaiting a federal criminal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering scheduled for May 5, 2025.
 
Anthony, who announced his withdrawal in the motion filed before the New York Federal Court on Thursday, declined to give reasons as to why he was leaving the rapper’s legal team.
 
According to the legal document, he notified the judge of his decision to withdraw from Diddy’s legal team, stating that “there are sufficient reasons protected by lawyer/client privilege”.
 
Ricco in the relief motion which has to be approved by the judge, said, “Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.”
 
Anthony Ricco is known for his role in the bin Laden’s case.

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has told the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to stay calm and steadfast as he continues efforts to secure his release. It was gathered that the governor visited the IPOB leader at the Sokoto Correctional Centre on Sunday, November 30, 2025. This was disclosed on Sunday night in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma. Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone.
