Petroleum Marketers Order Nationwide Shutdown

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has ordered its members to suspend all operations nationwide.

It was gathered that this was contained in a statement signed by IPMAN Chairman, Mohammed Kuluwu on Tuesday.

He blamed the situation on “the critical situation as it affects our sourcing and selling of product at a loss and the action of the government to impose the selling fuel product at a loss on our side.”

It was also gathered that most filling stations in the Nation’s capital are not dispensing fuel, leaving black marketers loitering around.

Fuel scarcity has persisted in Nigeria despite efforts by the government to address the situation.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
