“My Husband Has 3 Grown-Up Children” - Mr Ibu’s Daughter Ends 9-Month Marriage

Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of Nollywood veteran, John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, has filed for divorce from her UK-based husband identified as MD, nine months after marriage.

Jasmine Okafor had disclosed on TikTok how she met her husband who left his country two months after they met to propose to her in The Gambia.

On the separation, Jasmine confirmed the development on Monday on her Instagram page, where she accused her ex-husband of lying about his previous relationship and kids.

Jasmine, who is expecting a twin, said her hubby never mentioned he was divorced nor had kids.

She wrote: “This was the best nine months of my life! I have no regrets whatsoever! I just won’t settle for a lie regardless!

“I forgive easily. I remember asking you about this severally before we started.

“Finding out today from your mum, really broke me! A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me!

“But hate how you never mentioned your divorce nor kids to me! Moving on I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance.”

In another message shared on her Whatsapp status, Jasmine added: “My marriage was so beautiful and full of love, my husband literally worshiped me!

“I don’t know if anyone is ever going to love me as he did! But this one lie! I can’t forgive! I have filed (for) a divorce today! I found out today that he has three grown-up girls! 3?.

“Never told me he was married and divorced! Yes, he’s divorced, but still doesn’t change anything! I married a single loving husband! I won’t settle for less! I love him so much! I appreciate all the love you showed me!.

“You showed me a different version of love! I appreciate but I can’t settle for a tiny lie! I can’t forget! I won’t forgive! I don’t owe anyone an explanation!! Don’t ever lie about your age for any reason! I love you MD.”

  The Board of the World Bank Group met on Friday 13th of December, to approve a new loan request from the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government.   Ondo State Magistrate Court has remanded a 43-year-old clergyman, Paul Oyewole, for allegedly publishing his obituary on social media to evade the N3 million debt payment he owed one of his church members. Oyewole reportedly obtained the sum of N3m from Emmanuel Boyede, alleging that he would pay back the money within seven days. Police Prosecutor, Moremi Akao, told the court that the accused falsely published and posted his obituary on WhatsApp after sending a fake bank alert to his creditor. IBADAN STAMPEDE: “35 Dead Bodies Recovered, Six In Critical Condition” – Police

  The Oyo State Police Command have revealed the number of dead that have been recovered in the deadly Ibadan stampede.   The police said no fewer than 35 bodies of minors, who were killed in the Ibadan stampede have been recovered.   The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, SP Osifeso Adewale, who confirmed this in a statement on Thursday, said about six minors who sustained severe injuries during the incident, are in critical condition. “So far (35) thirty-five minors have been documented dead while (6) six others are critically injured and on various medical interventions,”  he said.   Recall that a funfair organized by the former Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Prophetess Naomi Shikemi at the Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, had resulted in stampede, leading to the tragic incident.   The Oyo State Police Command said that eight persons involved in sponsoring the event had since been arrested.   The Police spokesman said those arrested incl...

A policeman attached to the Imo State Police Command, Cosmas Ugwu, has been shot dead by his girlfriend. Ugwu was shot dead on Tuesday by his 23-year-old lover, who was identified as Amanda Uchechi Ugo, a native of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
