Falz, Vector Drag INEC Chairman In New Song ‘Yakubu’

Renowned Nigerian rappers, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the bad guy and Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, better known by his stage name Vector, have expressed their views about the 2023 elections in their latest song, ‘Yakubu‘, titled after the chairman Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Yakubu conducted the Nigeria presidential, gubernatorial, national assembly and state assembly elections and has been condemned by many due to some purported electoral malpractice, violence and lack of transparency.

The singers on the new song represented frustrated Nigerians and didn’t hold back on calling out INEC, its chairman and other political parties allegedly involved in the electoral malpractices.

‘Yakubu’ serves as Falz’s second official single for 2023 and is a follow up to the previously released ‘Owa‘ featuring Tekno.

Popular Nigerian Gospel singer, Paul Nwokocha has stirred reactions on social media after he confirmed that his second marriage was over. Teenage Boy Shot By Landlord In Owerri While Attempting To Retrieve Football From His Compound Has Died

The teenage boy who was shot by his landlord in Imo State for jumping into his house to retrieve a ball during a game of football on his school field has succumbed to his injuries. Paul died at the Specialist Hospital, Umuguma, Owerri barely 24 hours after undergoing surgery. Paul’s guardian, Mr Jonathan Odikanwa, a septuagenarian told the newsmen that his ward passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 20, 2025. The 16-year-old student of Urban Secondary School in the Area N, World Bank Housing area of Owerri had jumped over his school fence to retrieve a ball that entered the yet-to-be-identified landlord’s premises on Monday.
