Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo Denies Plot To Assassinate Peter Obi After Nigeria’s Elections

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has countered the allegation linking him to a plot on the life of Peter Obi.

The businessman and former Anambra governor is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP.

A viral message on social media alleged the one time Central Bank of Nigeria Governor had been contracted to eliminate Obi.

The information said a helicopter entered Awka by 1:30am and took Soludo to a secret meeting at the Imo Government House in Owerri.

“The agenda is Obi and how to stop him physically, politically and otherwise. Soludo was given $5million and he (Soludo) promised to eliminate Peter Obi..” it claimed.

On Monday in Awka, Soludo’s Press Secretary, Chris Aburime stated that the governor would never collude to harm any lawful citizen.

The spokesperson said despite political differences, Soludo was a brother and friend of Obi as well as “the father of all”.

“He has a good heart towards everybody. I am surprised that people can concoct this type of blackmail against him,” NAN quoted him.

“There is no iota of truth…he did not go to Owerri and he was not offered money to harm anyone, not even his brother, an illustrious son of Anambra.”

Aburime said the governor wishes the LP flagbearer well and appreciates Anambra voters “for supporting him massively.”

The aide recalled Soludo predicted Obi’s victory in the state, adding that the calm atmosphere during the election “speaks a lot” about his peaceful nature.

Bobrisky Falls Ill In Police Custody, Rushed To Hospital

  Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly fallen ill while in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos. After spending the night in a police cell, Bobrisky was rushed to Falomo Police Hospital for medical attention. A source confirmed the development, stating that he was transferred from the FCID to the hospital for treatment. The source said,  “Bobrisky complained of ‘breast’ pain and was rushed to the Police Hospital in the Falomo area of Lagos around 2:00 p.m. in an ambulance with the plate number LND 339L.   The  Magistrates' Court in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, denied bail to prominent broadcast journalist Chinonso Uba, popularly known as Nonso Nkwa, and ordered him to be remanded at the Owerri Correctional Centre on Wednesday. Uba was arraigned before the Chief Magistrate, His Worship Adikaibe, on five counts preferred against him by N.S.   The government of Equatorial Guinea has dismissed Baltasar Ebang Engonga as Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) after a series of over 400 sex tapes involving him and multiple women surfaced online.   A  shooting spree in Awka, Anambra State capital on Thursday morning, has claimed several lives. One of the sources, a student, said the shooting happened in Ifite Awka, at approximately 9:15 a.m., leaving several people dead. Lifeless Body Of Young Woman Found Dumped By Roadside In Delta After Visit To Man She Met On A Dating Site

  A  young Nigerian woman who has been identified as Precious Yusuf has been found dead in Asaba, in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State. The body of the deceased was found by the roadside opposite Falcon Club, Asaba. Her waist region was covered with a black and white cloth, suggestive of alleged mutilation of her private part for ritual purposes.
